Mr. Meyer joined the Company in 1996 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Three years later, he was named President of Clear Channel Outdoor for the Americas.
Mr. Meyer is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America and served as its Chairman from 2003-2006. Mr. Meyer also serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Traffic Audit Bureau and is its Secretary/Treasurer.
Prior to joining Clear Channel, Mr. Meyer served for over twenty years as the managing partner of Meyer Hendricks and its predecessor law firms in Phoenix, Arizona. His practice focused on complex commercial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and financings. He also developed substantial expertise handling municipal sports facilities transactions and other complex public/private development projects.
Mr. Meyer obtained an undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Notre Dame Law Review. Before entering private practice in Phoenix, he served as senior law clerk to Chief Justice Earl Warren of the United States Supreme Court. In April 2002, St. Mary's University of Minnesota awarded Mr. Meyer an honorary doctorate degree in Ethical Leadership.
