OCTOBER 20, 2008 CLEAR CHANNEL OUTDOOR WINS TRANSIT CONTRACTS IN SACRAMENTO AND SAN ANTONIOBranding via Clear Channel Outdoor transit properties in the U.S. now reaches approximately 500 million riders annually PHOENIX - October 20, 2008 – Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCO) today announced that it has won advertising rights to the Sacramento public transit system and the San Antonio bus system, furthering its reach and delivery of advertisers’ messages to travelers visiting and commuting in major cities. Sacramento’s five-year contract became effective July, 1, 2008 and San Antonio’s nine-year contract became effective October 1, 2008. In Sacramento, Clear Channel Outdoor will handle advertising for up to 1,024 displays on trains and buses, and on 734 bus shelter displays. Sacramento’s ridership has steadily increased on both the bus and light rail systems over the past 10 years to more than 31 million passengers annually. The bus advertising contract in San Antonio completes Clear Channel Outdoor’s out-of-home coverage in the market and will include 341 bus shelters with 682 advertising displays, as well as advertising on 804 buses that provide service to over 42 million riders annually in San Antonio and its suburbs. “Our partnership with both Sacramento and San Antonio’s transit systems offer local and national advertisers a new way to effectively reach the residents and visitors of these burgeoning cities,” said Paul Meyer, Global President and Chief Operating Officer of Clear Channel Outdoor. “We continue to look for other opportunities to grow our transit-based operations and offer advertisers opportunities to take advantage of this fast-growing and highly-effective medium.” Over the past two years, Clear Channel Outdoor’s global transit-based operations have expanded significantly with strategic transit contracts won internationally in Stockholm, Sweden and Lyon, France, and domestically in the San Francisco Bay Area, and in Chicago, Boston, Washington Baltimore, San Diego, Indianapolis, Houston, Daytona, Milwaukee, Phoenix and Seattle.
